Picture this: You're walking into the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris, but instead of heading to your seat, you're stepping into a world that celebrates everything Paris Saint-Germain. The PSG Megastore isn't just another place to buy jerseys – it's a journey through the club's rich history and exciting future.

As designers, we've been lucky enough to bring a piece of PSG magic to fans around the world. From the sunny streets of Los Angeles and Miami to the bustling avenues of New York City and London, we've created flagship stores that capture PSG's essence while speaking to local supporters.

When it came to revamping the Paris Megastore, we knew we had to pull out all the stops. Working alongside our friends at Lids, we set out to create a space that would make fans feel like they're part of something special. We wanted to honor PSG's legacy while pushing the boundaries of what a sports store could be.

From Concept to Reality: The Design Process

You know that feeling when you're doodling ideas and suddenly think, "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" That's how our design process started. Our vision was to create a store that tells the PSG story, allowing fans to experience the thrill of being part of the team. We wanted supporters to feel the excitement of game day from the moment they walked through the doors.

Here's a peek at how our initial concepts evolved:

Experience Zones: From Tunnel to Turf

On the first floor, the illuminated swoosh serves as more than just a visual centerpiece. We designed this feature to guide visitors upstairs, an area previously underutilized. This strategic element transforms the upper level into a must-visit destination, balancing foot traffic and ensuring the entire store buzzes with energy.

Once upstairs, one of the store's highlights is the red and blue hallway. Designed to replicate the PSG team tunnel and the player's journey from tunnel to pitch, it gives fans a taste of the pre-match excitement. As visitors emerge from this passageway, they step onto turf and are guided by the illuminated swoosh through the rest of the store.

We integrated advanced retail technology to enhance the interactive experience. Digital holoboxes and a virtual goalkeeper game were incorporated, bringing an element of play and innovation. In addition, we added customization zones, where fans can add personal touches to their PSG gear.

These features not only aligned with our initial vision but also proved effective in creating an engaging, multi-faceted retail environment. The finished store strikes a balance between honoring PSG's legacy and offering fans a modern retail experience.
